    High armholes, slim sleeves and a tapered waist for a clean, flattering silhouette. Comparable to a Trim / Tailored Fit, but with a 4-5" ease in the chest to provide room for a sweater.

Origins

The Ashbee takes after the leather jackets worn by post-war British motorcyclists who raced from cafe to cafe, where alcohol was served at each stop.

These "cafe racers" would strive for speeds in excess of 100 kph as they rallied across the south English countryside.



Details

Inspired by the cafe racer jackets but built for daily wear, the Ashbee is cut without a forward lean and extends beyond the waist for a more comfortable and casual appearance.

A clean shoulder line and tapered waist enhance the wearer's silhouette, while simple features such as welt pockets are intended to increase the jacket's versatility.

  • 2.25 oz, full grain, oil pull-up goatskin
  • Charcoal black polyester lining
  • Reinforced horn buttons
  • YKK zipper with square drop zipper pull
  • Industrial corespun polyester thread

Classic low-profile racer collar with matching horn button.
Front and back yoke cut from the strongest part of the hide, creating a straight, stiff line that broadens the shoulders
Torso and back panels cut in an English drape to suggest a well-built chest
Traditional single welt pocket— with two large utility pockets inside the jacket for easy access to accessories.
Ajustable button cuff with undersleeve panel detailing.
Full-length, top-stitched flap beneath the main zipper for enhanced comfort in the cold and wind
